Cabin Leader: Laurel “Bawktor Who”
Hello! My name is Laurel or Bawktor Who. I am beyond thrilled to get to know your camper this week! Trout Lake Camps is such an amazing place to learn more about Jesus and get to know Him. Your camper is going to meet some of the most Christ-centered people I’ve ever known. The majority of my greatest memories have been at Trout because I have been attending Trout since I was a baby at the family camp retreats. Camp has been such a blessing in my life and a real turning point in my faith and relationship with Jesus, which has inspired me to become a Cabin Leader. Outside of camp, I enjoy writing stories and drawing! One of the gifts God has blessed me with is my joy and desire for music! I play flute and piccolo, and was involved in my school’s marching band for four years. I also very much enjoy singing and hope your camper doesn’t mind me pulling out a tune or two over the week! I plan on becoming a band teacher and am currently studying at University of Wisconsin, River Falls. I love spreading and teaching the joy of music to kids. I hope your camper enjoys Trout just as much as I have, and one day joins our staff!
Cabin Leader Updates
Tues.- Queen’s Chamber has been having such a fun time during these couple of days at Wild Woods! Yesterday, we had three awesome cabin activities. For our first activity, we got to go as a whole cabin onto the huge canoes we call Voyagers. We were also able to go with the other cabins in our Bellion (a made-up word for our groups of cabins) and were able to communicate with walkie-talkies while canoeing together. For our second activity, we went down Plummet’s Plunge (our giant slip n’ slide) with a surprise: foam! For our final cabin activity, we went ot the petting zoo to pet kittens, bunnies, a pig, goats, and some got to ride horses! We also had a carnival that we call the “Unity Fair.” There were sooo many games to play—including a dunk tank that some Cabin Leaders and LITs got dropped in. Today we have three more fun activities with our Bellion, and we’re looking forward to Tabernacle tonight!
